What is the biggest challenge facing the Latin American biofuels industry in the short term (1-3 years)?
In countries with strong petroleum industry, fighting against the lobby of oil producers.
What is the biggest challenge for the industry longer term (3-10 years)?
Educating end users which are still reluctant to using an alternative or different type of fuel in their car's engines, basically related to the lack of proper information.
How do you see the region’s growth prospects for a) biodiesel and b) ethanol?
a) Biodiesel will grow strongly in the southern cone: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia
b) Brazilian Bioethanol's supply will continue to expand rapidly; the same path will be followed by Colombia and some countries in Central America.
In your opinion - In 2010 renewable fuels will make up X% of total road transport fuels.
