The role:
Reporting to the Marketing Director; the Marketing Executive will be expected to plan, budget and implement the marketing strategies and deliverables for our commercial, conference portfolio, supported by a marketing assistant. Green Power Conferences run events in locations such as New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Brussels, London, Miami, New Delhi, Cape Town and Singapore; travel is an expected part of this role.

The Marketing Executive will be expected to plan, budget and implement the marketing strategy and deliverables for each event, working closely with the events team and the sales team to ensure each event is a commercial success.

Time management and a high level of organization are essential as the candidate will be responsible for a number of concurrent, time sensitive products.

The candidate will be expected to negotiate with external suppliers, media partners and stake holders. Confidence and the ability to deal with senior level, demanding clients is also a must.

This role would especially suit someone who is driven by success and takes pride in the production of effective campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce budgets and realistic, but creative marketing plans for a portfolio of events
  • Manage and implement the marketing deliverables according to the plans
  • Measure response, perform tests and adjust accordingly
  • Maintain campaign budgets
  • Report key performance figures to the management team
  • Identify weaknesses in the marketing database and suggest strategies/solutions
  • Build the marketing database moving forwards
  • Work with event supporters, stake holders and media partners to access new data and marketing channels
  • Work with the researchers and events team to ensure the products meet the needs of our existing customers and the market place

Requirements:

  • 2 years Direct Marketing experience with a minimum of 1 year marketing commercial conferences and events
  • Ability to plan and manage integrated marketing activities across a number of products simultaneously
  • Ability to efficiently manage budgeting for multiple products
  • A good understanding of Direct Marketing principles and practice
  • Fresh ideas and an imaginative approach

The role:

Reporting to both the Logistics Manager and Event Director, a Conference Coordinator will be expected to manage the logistics for a series of events, ensuring they are smoothly and professionally managed both in the run up and onsite at the conference. Other duties may also involve set research projects i.e. venue research and assisting in the production of conference agendas and assisting the sales and marketing team. Green Power Conferences run events in locations such as New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Brussels, London, Amsterdam, New Delhi, Cape Town and Singapore; travel is an expected part of this role.
Time management and a high level of organization are essential as the candidate will be responsible for a number of time sensitive products which will include many ongoing and competing deadlines.

The candidate will be expected to negotiate with external contacts, stake holders and suppliers. Confidence and the ability to deal with senior level representatives is a must.

Key responsibilities:

  • Follow the conference process from event handover to execution to post conference responsibilities for up to 12 events per annum
  • Key elements of the process include speaker liaison, delegate registrations, venue liaison, marketing support, on the day running of the conference and post event follow up
  • To communicate all the necessary information to other members of the team to maximise the revenue and success any one event can achieve
  • To take in information on the renewable energy industry to develop networking skills
  • Business development of new industry organisations, event ideas and event formats

The role:

Reporting to the Event (Research) Director, the Conference Researcher will be expected to work on the development of conference agendas and topic areas. The role will be focused on conducting research projects, producing independently researched agenda’s and conference products, confirming speakers and liaising with key companies & associations in the sector. Green Power Conferences run events in locations such as New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Brussels, London, Amsterdam, New Delhi, Cape Town and Singapore; travel is an expected part of this role.

An event researcher is the master of multi tasking; researching new topics, bringing the conference project team together and continuously on the look out for potential new speakers and partners. Ultimately the relationships the researcher builds with speakers and other industry contacts play a key role in developing new ideas and establishing a good reputation for Green Power Conferences. Face to face contact is excellent for developing these relationships and you will be encouraged to organize meetings with relevant companies and speakers at events you attend whenever you can.

Time management and a high level of organization are essential as the candidate will be responsible for a number of time sensitive products.

The candidate will be expected to negotiate with external contacts and stake holders. Confidence and the ability to deal with senior level representatives is a must.
This role would especially suit someone with strong communication skills (written and oral) and strong research skills.

  • Producing 6-7 high quality, independently researched conferences per annum with a logical and complete agenda which is an accurate representation of the industry and current state of the market segment to enable attendees to make informed business decisions
  • Understand industries and their value chain quickly

The role:
Reporting to the Marketing Director; the Delegate Sales Executive will lead the telephone marketing effort for a portfolio of 35+ B2B conferences. The main focus of the role is selling attendance to our market leading business events – the product is a high fee, high commitment proposition targeted at senior level business people.

The candidate will be expected to follow up inbound enquiries, account manage past delegates, generate their own leads and work from researched and rented lists. They may also have to manage the activities of freelance sales people during busy periods.

The candidate MUST have proven and successful delegate sales experience, enthusiasm for selling and a good understanding of the sales process.

Experience of sales and CRM software such as ACT and Salesforce would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing the sales database.

Green Power operate commercial conferences for the sustainability and green sectors in locations such as New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Brussels, London, Miami, New Delhi, Cape Town and Singapore; there may be occasional travel in this role. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be proactive in generating their own sales leads.

The Package:

Expected Commission: £5,000-£10,000+ (uncapped)

Additional:
The role will include a certain amount of list research and database development in the first 6 months and so telesales commission will probably be low. For this reason we will pay a discretional bonus after the first 6 months of between £2000 and £5000 depending on pre-agreed research targets.

The commission structure is open, fair and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.


Key responsibilities:

  • Follow up inbound leads and enquiries and convert to sales
  • Identify and account manage past multi-buyers and key customers
  • Contact individuals from researched and prospect lists and convert to sales
  • Research new contacts and sales leads from the database and from raw research of your own, and convert to sales
  • Build, operate and maintain a sales database, working with colleagues in the UK, Dubai, France and Italy to maximise the effectiveness of this resource
  • Work directly with the marketing team to ensure each event has an appropriate telesales resource, using external telemarketers to support you if necessary
  • Develop the portfolio of products and Identify new business opportunities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1.5 years B2B sales experience, ideally in conferences and events
  • Proven and successful sales record
  • Good understanding of the sales process and sales techniques
  • Confident when selling to senior-level business people globally

The role:
Reporting to the London management team; the Office Coordinator will be responsible for all inbound customer service enquiries as well as the office management for a team of 10-15 UK based staff, working in the Clapham Junction Office.

Customer Service:
Green Power Conferences organise conferences, exhibitions and events for senior business executives around the world. Our conferences provide essential business information, as well as networking opportunities for commercial organizations, and form an important part of the sustainable energy sector.

Depending on the time of year; customer service can comprise as much as 40% of the role. The candidate will need to be efficient, articulate, and confident on the telephone as they will be the first point of contact for many of our senior level customers and clients.

The candidate will be responsible for the bookings hotline; including answering calls, accurately inputting information on to our customer database, answering queries, forwarding sales leads to the sales and marketing team and maintaining the customer database. They will arrange cover during busy periods or time off. They will also manage inbound bookings and enquiries from email, fax and post.

Office Coordination:
Green Power Conferences employ a team of industry experts to research and produce the conferences, project managers who operate the events and a sales and marketing team who promote the events to the relevant markets. There are currently 10 UK based staff, increasing to 15 by the end of 2008.

The candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the office including invoice processing, stationary and resource management, ordering equipment for new starters and general office duties. They will also be expected to support the team across a range of areas including marketing; product management and research.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience in a commercial organisation with exposure to marketing, sales, research and event management. Green Power Conferences run events in locations such as New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Brussels, London, Amsterdam, New Delhi, Cape Town and Singapore; there is a strong possibility of travel as part of this role.
