With 20 CEO’s on the speaker panel including Codexis, Solazyme, Joule, Sundrop Fuels and over 260 decision makers in attendance, the inaugural Advanced Biofuels Markets event 2010 was an event only for those really serious about the future of biofuels. With such a who’s who of the biofuels community present, networking was serious and unrivalled.
This was no ordinary conference. With so many CEO’s speaking on the agenda, presentations were cutting edge and a hotbed for industry announcements. During the conference, D Hunt Ramsbottom announced that Solena has signed a letter of intent to license Rentech’s proprietary Fischer-Tropsch synthetic fuel technology for GreenTech, Solena’s sustainable BioJetFuel project the United Kingdom. SG Biofuels announced it has established a strategic partnership with Bunge North America to research and develop a model to process Jatropha seeds into a biofuel feedstock – as outlined by SG Biofuels CEO, Kirk Haney on the second day of ABM.
The Obama Administration has projected that the US alone will need to construct 500 advanced bioenergy plants between 2011 and 2022 to comply with the Renewable Fuel Standard of 21 billion gallons per year of Advanced Biofuels by 2022. 21 billion gallons starts with the first billion - the first commercial-scale plants that will carve out the business models and demonstrate the sustainability and viability of the technologies.
The Advanced Biofuels Markets conference will bring together leading experts who are bringing advanced biofuels to market, including Advanced Biofuels Company Executives, Venture Capitalists and Investment Bankers, Corporate Strategic Investment and Alliance Executives, EPC firms and industry suppliers.
Join us in San Francisco as we explore and advance the discussion of every aspect of strategy and execution as it pertains to delivering those first one billion gallons of advanced biofuels into the marketplace.
