Leading Biogas USA Conference in San Francisco
The 4th Annual Biogas USA West conference returned to San Francisco as the region’s premier event where the biogas community met and enhanced the profitability of new and existing projects.
California’s regulatory framework continues to shape the landscape for biogas projects in the West. With the California Energy Commission’s recent moratorium for RPS eligibility of biomethane, October’s biogas conference provided a timely setting to digest the latest policy movements.
In this uncertain environment, the Biogas USA West 2012 conference put a firm focus on the controllable factors for biogas developers that offer the chance to boost project’s revenue. The US biogas meeting examined how to capitalize on emerging high energy feedstocks such as wastewater, municipal solid waste and industrial food waste, whilst exploring how to engage successfully with utility and industrial end users, and put a spotlight on the market prospects for biomethane in the natural gas vehicle market.
"Of the many biogas-related conferences I have attended, Biogas West 2012 proved to be the most useful one yet. Specifically, the deep coverage on policy issues and the multitude of project case-studies were phenomenally informative. This was my third annual Biogas West conference, and I am amazed that they keep getting better."
Craig Lewis, Executive Director,
Clean Coalition
“The speakers all came very well prepared, with current and relevant information. I also gained useful information from attendees, who represented a broad range from within the biogas industry. By attending, and with information gained, we made some decisions about future direction for biogas use.” Monterey Regional Waste Management District
“The conference covered an excellent mix of policy, finance, operations, and development issues. Very well done.” New Energy Capital
"As always Biogas USA brings together an engaging and high-level group of business leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs and innovators from the world of biogas technology deployment, project development and finance" Climate Action Reserve
“I appreciated the opportunity to inform a targeted group of stakeholders about our activities that support the biogas industry.” California Energy Commission
"I have been consistently impressed by the quality of both the participants and the sessions at Green Power Conferences. I've made good contacts in the networking sessions over the years and expect to continue to do so in the future."
