Introduction to PV Business Planning

European PV markets are forecasted to add as much as 15.5 GW from 2010 to 2012, according to research from Emerging Energy Research. Whilst Germany remains the front runner in terms of roll out, markets such as Italy, France, Belgium and the Czech Republic are seeing rapid growth in large scale projects.

Utility Scale PV will provide an opportunity to meet face-to-face with major utilities, project developers and investors who are involved in developing large scale PV projects across Europe. The event will take place in Milan to take advantage of the growth in Italy where 2GW of new installations are expected in 2011.

C-Level speakers will discuss the challenges they face and share their experiences in deploying projects:

  • Utility business models for solar
  • Policy development and feed-in tariffs
  • Strategies for securing financing
  • Developing rooftop and ground mounted utility scale solar projects
  • Connecting to the grid
  • Technology developments in thin film, CPV and crystalline silicon

  • Pre-conference PV Project Finance Forum, 28 March 2011
A one day tutorial for developers to meet with investors and successfully raise finance for large scale PV projects
  • Post-conference technical seminar: Optimising PV Plant Performance, 31 March 2011
A one day workshop for technical management and engineers to address ways to increase plant efficiency and solar yield
