The UNEP FI have created the CEE taskforce which aims to support and expand sustainable finance practice in Central and Eastern Europe. The creation of such a forum will raise awareness in the region for the link between environment and finance and allows participants to share best practices regarding sustainable finance.

   

SEFI is modeled in part on the UNEP FI initiative as a platform to provide financiers with the tools, support and networks to drive financial innovation that improves the environmental performance of the energy mix. The overall strategy is to use this platform to convene financiers to catalyse public-private alliances that together share the costs and lower the barriers to sustainable energy investment.

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) is a coalition of progressive governments, businesses and organisations committed to accelerating the development of renewable and energy efficiency systems (REES).

EREC - the European Renewable Energy Council - is an umbrella organisation of the leading European renewable energy industry and research associations active in the sectors of photovoltaic, wind, small hydropower, biomass and solar thermal:

  • EPIA (European Photovoltaic Industry Association)
  • ESHA (European Small Hydropower Association)
  • ESTIF(EuropeanSolar Thermal Ind. Federation)
  • EUBIA (European Biomass Industry Association)
  • EWEA (European Wind Energy Association)
  • EUREC (European Association of Renewable Energy Research Centers)

ManagEnergy promotes co-operation between local and regional energy actors in Europe through workshops, study tours and online events on energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable transport.

The ALTENER Campaign REPROMO accelerates RES market penetration in Central and Eastern Europe by forging alliances of manufacturers, financial institutes and project developers around concrete RE actions. Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) International is an independent, not-for-profit global network of individuals and non-governmental organizations, committed to sustainable development. The Black Sea Regional Energy Centre (BSREC) was established in 1995 at the initiative of the European Commission (EC). The BSREC acts as a focal point for energy related activities, aimed at developing co-operation between the BS region countries and the EU in the energy field, as well as among the countries themselves.
