Event Summary

Green Power Conference’s Biogas event held in San Francisco (1-2 October) was a huge success with delegates appreciating the content led conference supported by a focused exhibition.

The event was attended by over 100 participants from 11 countries from North America, South America, Europe and Australia.  Biogas development in the US is a long way behind the market in Europe but it is really beginning to take off.  There are exciting developments in many states including Oregon, Wisconsin and California, which also has its own regulatory challenges as well.  Biogas can play a key role in the each states RPS targets.

The keynote session with executives from the EPA, BioEnergy Solutions and Biogas Energy as well as the contributions from utilities such as Pacific Gas & Electric and San Diego Gas & Electric on day 2 were the highlights of the conference.
