A new addition to our Solar Global Series, the inaugural Thin Film Solar conference was held on 28-29 April at Le Meridien Hotel in San Francisco. We were pleased to welcome over 70 delegates who were able to investigate the latest developments in the Thin Film industry and the challenges it faces in this difficult economic climate. Thin Film industry leaders examined the strategies that can be employed to facilitate growth in this area and compete with crystalline silicon PV. The key drivers for investment into Thin Film were outlined by speakers from Rockport Capital, CMEA Capital, MMA Renewable Ventures and New Energy Finance. In a series of lively panel discussions speakers also addressed the critical questions surrounding the future of Thin Film and delegates learned in which applications Thin Film is proving most successful. Participants had access to superior networking and the opportunity to question some of Thin Film’s thought leaders.
